This week we were visited by some of the lovely ladies from FIPI (Federation of Image Professionals International) who dropped by for a peek at our studio.
The event was organised by local stylist and fellow FIPI member Hannah Jean who had put together a fabulous fashion day out for her colleagues in London. They spent the afternoon at the Tommy Nutter exhibition at the Fashion & Textiles museum across the road from us, so their last port of call was our studio to round off the day!
We are delighted to announce that for the month of July we will be collaborating with independent jewellery designer Amisha to showcase an exciting new range in her collection.
The collections are made up entirely of limited edition pieces, each one a unique arrangement of handcrafted silver and semi-precious stones.
We recently celebrated our first year in the studio we call home on Bermondsey Street.
It has been fantastic year for us and we couldn’t be happier situated in one of the most creative and vibrant areas of London. Bermondsey Street has so much to offer and we have really become a part of the community, so wanted to toast one year in with some of our friends, clients and supporters!
We were delighted to have the second speaker in our series of talks on ‘pure and applied’ design be pioneering designer Helen Storey.
Helen is a fascinating subject as she has been a success in the world of fashion, art and science. It is indeed the cross-over and interaction between these disciplines which is the focus and interest of so much of her work.

Due to our fascination with all things design based we have begun a series of talks at our studio on ‘pure and applied design’ with some of the industry’s most creative people. We were lucky enough to be able to kick off proceedings with the amazing designer Roland Klein who gave a fascinating talk on his career and thoughts on the qualities of good design.

At the end of last week we hosted a fantastic event at our studio with Maggie Semple Limited.
Maggie herself is an entrepreneur of extraordinary talents who believes in equality and fairness in business. She is an advocate of networking with likeminded individuals in order to achieve a common goal and exemplifies the power of positive thinking. Our paths have crossed many times before through our mutual love of unusual projects and of course fashion!

Another London Fashion Week has been and gone and with it brought new ideas and inspiration for the coming months.
In the studio I launched my first range of bespoke jackets and blazers to accompany my dresses, as well as an updated Studio Range with fresh colours and designs for the new season. To celebrate, we had a fabulous champagne reception for clients old and new on the eve of LFW…
Before Christmas I organised a photo shoot with up and coming singer Rachel Collins.
We have collaborated many times before on outfits and looks for her gigs and decided to have a day where we got some of our ideas down on film….
Over the past month or so I have been honing my new designs for the season ahead. The place I always begin is my mood board – a collection of images that evoke the mood I want to create for the coming season and inspire the colours, textures and shapes I will use.
This time of year makes me want to shake off the January blues and look ahead to the warmer months of the year. For this reason I have been looking at images of glamorous stars of old Hollywood such as Liz Taylor and Ava Gardner on holiday, as well as editorials shot in exotic locations.
